Slip-and-Falls on Non-Commercial Properties
While Florida Statute 768.0755 covers slips and falls in business establishments, this does not mean government-owned or privately owned property owners can be careless with their property maintenance. In the case of government owned property where a slip and fall accident occurred, the injured party may be limited in the amount of damages they can recover. For private property, such as an individual’s home, any slip and fall injury is likely covered under a homeowner’s policy. In either case, an injured party should contact a qualified slip and fall attorney to discuss their legal options.
